A Message from Alistair Dale, Angela Walton and Lisa McGhie

We’re delighted to confirm ISS’s new partnership with Newcastle College Group (NCG).

ISS already provides services at Newcastle College and Newcastle Sixth Form College. Under the expanded contract, our teams will support all seven NCG colleges, with the partnership beginning in two phases.

​

New Contract Go-live - in two phases

Phase 1 – 2 November 2026: Newcastle College, Newcastle Sixth Form College, Carlisle College and West Lancashire College.

Phase 2 – 8 March 2027: Kidderminster College, Lewisham College and Southwark College.

​

ISS will deliver a wide range of facilities management services, including maintenance, cleaning, helpdesk support, grounds and winter services, waste management, portering, pest control, minor works and specialist support.

​

If you work in one of these service areas, your role may transfer to ISS under TUPE regulations. Your current employer will confirm whether this applies to you.

​

We’re excited about the partnership and look forward to welcoming you to ISS. At ISS, we believe that people make places, and your experience and commitment will be central to the success of the new contract.

Town hall sessions – 7 and 8 September

We’ll be holding town hall sessions to meet transferring colleagues, explain what the change means and answer your questions.

​

• Newcastle: Monday 7 September, 11am and 1pm – Lisa McGhie and Thomas Maclean, Ground Floor Meeting Room, Estates Building.

• West Lancashire College: Monday 7 September, 11am and midday – Angela Walton and Kayleigh Tocker.

• Carlisle: Tuesday 8 September, 11am and 1pm – Lisa McGhie and Thomas Maclean, Room G38

After the sessions, we’ll arrange individual appointments to discuss the change and answer any further questions. Monthly updates and supporting information will also be shared on this website.

After your start date, we’ll be able to spend more time with teams on site and begin shaping our partnership with NCG together.
